Today we're opening the doors to Fans — a home for Kenya's creators where fans pay per view. No subscriptions, no bundles, no monthly commitments. You watch what you want, when you want, and pay only for that.
Why we built this
Kenya has world-class creators — comedians, musicians, chefs, fitness coaches, storytellers — but the platforms they publish on were not built for how Kenyans pay or share. Subscriptions assume a card on file and a monthly budget. Ad revenue assumes millions of passive views. Neither matches a market where content travels through group chats and payments travel through M-Pesa.
Fans flips the model. A creator uploads a video, sets a price — any price — and shares the link. A fan taps it, pays with M-Pesa in seconds, and watches instantly. The creator keeps 80% of every single sale.
What you can do today
- Watch without an account. Browse creators and previews freely, and unlock any video as a guest.
- Pay with M-Pesa. The payment flow is built around the way Kenya already pays — no cards required.
- Create and earn. Sign up, complete your profile, upload your first video, and set your price. There are no follower minimums and no waiting lists.
This launch is a starting line, not a finish line. Over the coming months we're shipping creator analytics, referral rewards, and more ways to support the people who make the content you love. Follow this page — we'll post every update here.
Karibu Fans. Watch what you love. Pay only for what you watch.
