We built Fans for the way Kenyans actually share videos: a link lands in a group chat, you tap it, you watch. No sign-up form standing between you and the content.
Guest unlocks
Anyone can unlock a video with M-Pesa as a guest. Tap unlock, enter your number, confirm the STK push, and the video plays. Your unlock is remembered on the device you paid on — no password, no account recovery, no friction.
Under the hood, each guest unlock is tied to the paying device, so a forwarded link never exposes your purchase. The person you forward it to simply sees their own unlock button.
Why accounts still matter
Creating an account is optional, but it unlocks the social layer:
- Bookmarks — save videos to come back to.
- History — everything you've watched, in one place.
- Likes and comments — support creators and join the conversation.
- Referrals — earn from the creators you bring to the platform.
Less friction for fans means more earnings for creators. A fan who can pay in ten seconds is a fan who pays. Everybody wins.
